My goal is to guide you and/or your child through this ever-complex, ever-messy thing we call life with compassion, empathy, love, and a little bit of humor. 

The truth is, your time is valuable and not everyone has the luxury of spending years in therapy. It’s too time intensive and too expensive.

My goal is to find strategies & solutions for you that alleviate your symptoms & provide you with tangible techniques that you can start using immediately.

METHODS

My holistic approach is tailored to your personality, your needs and your desired outcomes, but often includes:

Family systems theory, attachment theory, somatic practices, biofeedback and more. I’m more than happy to share all about what each of these terms mean at any point!

I’m also fully trained in EMDR and Brainspotting!

I believe in taking a relationship based approach, no matter how young or old the client is. Without a trusting, safe relationship with your therapist, healing cannot happen.

I was trained to work somatically, which means focusing on the body as a way of understanding and integrating our mind. I believe the body and mind are not separate, and we must attend to both equally.

I place a heavy emphasis on attachment work, meaning understanding family dynamics, uncovering relationship beliefs & patterns and building strong, healthy connections.

I believe there are incredible aspects of multiple therapeutic techniques, so I pull from the knowledge of many of our great thought leaders in that regard.

WHAT’S IT GOING TO COST ME?

The best thing about doing therapy online, besides all the personal growth and life improvement stuff, is the price!

Because I don’t have expensive overhead, I get to pass along that savings to you.

Please inquire about pricing as my fee structure has shifted due to the impact of COVID-19.

I typically see individual clients for 50 minute weekly sessions, and couples for 90 min sessions but this can vary depending on individual needs.

Payment is made virtually, through Venmo, Paypal or Zelle. Inquire if this form of payment does not work for you.

INSURANCE

I currently do not accept insurance but can provide you with a bill of services which can be submitted to some insurance companies for reimbursement. I do recommend that you contact your insurance provider beforehand to clarify your options.

NEED TO CANCEL?

Life happens, I totally get it.

However, please try and cancel/reschedule with 24 hours notice to avoid being charged the session fee.

VIRTUAL THERAPY

Telehealth 101

Telehealth, also know as remote, online or virtual healthcare, is the practice of providing virtual health-related services through safe and secure video conferencing and online technologies. It allows patients to access quality healthcare services from anywhere, without the hassle of transportation or distance concerns, increasing accessibility and convenience for all. And best of all, it’s the same quality care but a whole lot cheaper!

What should I expect?

I typically work with clients on a weekly basis, just like most in-person therapy experiences. My session are 50 minutes long, unless otherwise decided upon. All paperwork, scheduling and payment is handled through a safe and user friendly online portal and we meet via secure video conferencing. All you need is access to a phone or computer with video capabilities and a space where you feel the most comfortable. Pajamas are totally optional!

Considerations

Virtual therapy makes getting quality mental health support a whole lot easier, but it does come with a few considerations. Therapy is a special, sacred experience, that should be just for you. That being said, it’s important you have a way to create a private and confidential space, so that you feel safe to explore, share and heal without interruptions or visitors.

And, virtual therapy does require a good wifi connection…because the closest thing to face to face interaction is a really good quality video stream.
